Welcome note
Most of us have a high dependency on electricity, it has become a natural part of our day to day lives. The increasing cost for the supply of electricity always captures our attention, but for many of us the wires, cables and sockets that power our lights, washing machine and our children's games consoles mean little and are something we seldom think about, let alone worry about.
However, we hope that by looking through our site you will understand the importance of getting to know your electrical installation and also know where to come when you need advice, tips or to find the right electrical contractor for any work you may need undertaking.
Our website has been designed to help consumers and other interested parties understand the importance of electrical safety in the home including the laws that govern it. One of our main aims at the Electrical Safety Council is to ensure that our message is not clouded by technical jargon and is easily understandable by not only the industry but more importantly by consumers.
In addition to safety advice, we will be looking to bring interesting articles and features on news, events and lifestyles and would appreciate any comments or ideas you have with regard to our site, so please drop us an e-mail with your views at: feedback@electricalsafetycouncil.org.uk
Thank you for your time and we hope that you'll visit us again soon.
